Like an USB Stick or do i need a tool for this?

I am sorry if i ask to many questions but right now i am going through everything theoretically so i am well prepared for the downgrade project once my gowngrading hardware arrives.

yeah u load the minmus hex file on to the avr minmus via a program called Atmel Flip

here is a tutorial on how to program the AVR Minimus with the hex and set up the program

the e3 flasher does most of downgrading but u need a dongle to get into service mode so u can install the new fw etc
