How many times

So I just re-flowed my PS3 for the 6th time.. it's an original phat and I'm hoping it'll last me a few more re-flows its starting to look pretty burnt (from regular use not re-flowing) Just curious, how many re-flows did you do before your PS3 finally burned out on you?

I did 4 on my CECHA01 and the mainboard is all warped to f*ck now (it has green light of death now, no video)

I've read you can straighten out the board by baking it at ~150F for 8 hours. In any case, it needs to be reballed

Depends on the tools you used to reflow it.

If you used a really decent hot air station, thermocouples and good no clean flux after baking the PCB to remove the moisture then it should last a long time, and things won't get burnt.

If however, you used no flux, a heat gun or an oven, you probably didn't even fix the problem in the first place.

Personally if a console gets to the stage of needing more than 3 reflows I class it as reball required.

Good quality paste is a big part of the longevity also.
If you had the rework tools as listed by defyboy at your disposal then you may as well go for a full reball

I've always just used my head gun a heat sensor and tin foil to protect the motherboard. I dont see any signs that I've been heating it but im sure itll eventually die on me

I agree with @japsander ...
(In the melody of the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song.)
It's P-S-3 Reball time, P-S-3 Reball time.

Who do you guys recommend to use to reball? Any good site that also will do repairs and reballs if needed. I don't want to use the first site that pops up on Google for it.
