light-take.com response to TB boycott

recently ps3hax user svenmullet started a boycott against true-blue distributors so far around 20 or so users have sent emails warning several distributors about the TB-hdd corruption and the TB malware etc...

the full post is here

i recently checked my email and found a response from the web-site
"light-take.com"

Hi (NAME),
Just has you said we sold the TB but you should realize that it was selling everywhere not just at lightake shop because it’s welcome by those users who want to play free games. I think you did not read the description carefully since you thought this device will destroy PS3 HDD, actually most of users are satisfied with it and it plays fine such as PES 2012 game though it needs a special BR disc to run but most games only need Eboots. I know different people have different view about it but we’re only one of the resellers not the manufacturer that is the business and we’re not intending to spread malware. Maybe you can email to the creator JB2 guys in order to warning stop developing DRM dongles in future that would be more helpful than e-mail us. Anyway thanks for informing us.

Regards,
Jerry

They just want to cover themselves as the reseller, since they don't manufacture tb but they just happen to sell it. Fun fact, TB is also the slang name for tuberculosis, a fatal disease. Fitting since That dongle is a fatal disease to the modding community.

This means that someone actually read the email. They're not going to do anything about it yet, but it's promising, I guess...

How about sending them an email with the fact that NOBODY with a TB dongle has had any problems whatsoever?

So far the only thread that reported an HDD erase was a troll. OP did not present proof either if the fact was true or not.
--------------

Regarding the response of light it's useless in some kind of way hence they are one of many sites acting as reseller of the dongle itself. Yes they read it but what they can do? shutdown the selling of TB on their own site it's not good for business.
I don't think that the ones who sell the product (Site) it's the one to blame.

And mentioning that sending an email to Jbking guys, was an epic *i wash my hands of this*.

i wonder, has any one else received a similar reply, or was i the only one?

i think the only way to shut down tb is through hacking/cracking it.

like team-failOverflow said "you dont wanna piss off the hackers" i think tb has it coming for them, and they KNOW it

Just a random reply, if it's not a automatic response it's a semi interested person that's takes his time to write some words.
