Motherboard question

I am doubtful in the purchase of a suitable motherboard.
Can you advise me if I buy this one http://www.assismatica.pt/categoria/...3v_550679.aspx or this one http://www.assismatica.pt/categoria/...v_550677.aspx?
The difference is little, but can you tell me which one is the better one in terms of quality/price?

Im confused. Weren't you getting an AMD setup? so why are you picking out an intel motherboard?

Well anyways I personally wouldn't get either motherboard but if it were between the 2 I see no real difference besides the number of memory slots and so I would get the cheaper one of the 2. IMO get more opinions before a final decision.

But a guy told me that intel processing capacity is much better than AMD.

Yes that maybe true but are you ready to pay for it? If you are on a budget going the Intel route is not a good idea, this is coming from someone who likes Intel. If you have money to put down then go for the upgrade. I recommend at least the 2600K because that's what I have. If you are just looking for a better process then the one in the system you chose before a 2500K will suffice.

It's true that AMD is cheapear. But it's also worse than Intel. Compare any AMD with, for example, and i5 2500. There's a clear winner. Also, buying a Sandy Bridge platform will allow you to update to an Ivy Bridge processor (altough you probably wont need it).

If you are going to build a gamer PC, you should choose the P67 chipset which doesn't make use of the onboard graphic chip (inside the processor) and relies only on an external graphic card. This is recommended for a gaming build. I don't recommend any of the motherboards you posted. Those don't have the P67 chipset. Also, the P67 chipset allows you to overclock your CPU if you buy a K series.

Yes the first PCIe 16 slot (pciex16_0) can support Nvidia cards or any other PCIEx16 slot card, although I wouldn't say Asrock is better, I've only used them for budget builds.

Ha If you want to go on intel, do it. But if you want to change some hardware later if you want to go high-end i think it will cost you a *little* more than AMD.

AMD = Oc, Stability = Cheaper
Intel = $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I agree that Intel it's more expensive, but it ALSO has OC and Stability. Plus, it outperforms AMD by a good margin. I used to use AMD for all my builds, but nowadays AMD can't catch up with Intel. Maybe this could change in a couple of years, but if you are going to build a computer today, I recommend Intel hands down.
