I'm not the "I told you so" type, I just don't want to see people taken advantage of. I'm the kind of guy who will weigh in when a computer salesman is trying to rip off an old lady in some computer store by giving incorrect facts because all he's bothered about is making the sale. The point is to give people all the information so that they don't get their hopes up.

You might be able to stand by and say "well, it's their own fault if they do", but is it really? Not everyone has the time to learn this stuff and make informed decisions and any upstanding individual should be trying to help others.

You're right on one thing, though, I've said what I felt I needed to to help others and can leave the thread and move on. Thanks for your time, see you guys in about a month :wink:

ps. bad mouthing and discrediting takes much less time and effort than hacking. Not that I'm badmouthing so much as discrediting.

Totally agree, and not only that. As I said earlier, I don't understand very much from this stuff so I can only see other's opinions and the results, but if you Mr McHaggis and all the others who criticize zadow are so pro at this kind of stuff why don't you at least give him some advice, what should be done and what not. Then we will all see if zadow is really trying to do something or he's just trolling. But as I can see 'till now, you just know how to speak and... that's all. This is equal to zero...

OK, thinking outside of the box for a sec.

I did a bit of searching for keld simonsen and his name pops up a few times in regards to ps3 distros, and kernels, mainly fedora, so as we do not know for sure how they obtain the eboots and somehow booting to Linux and dumping the ram has been suggested, could certain references from ram be still in these eboots if this method is actually true?

Again, I have no problem admitting I know sweet **** all about this type of thing so call me dumb all you want

I did a Google search on debugging spu and seen ProDg for ps3 was leaked back in 2010, is there something wrong with it (other than possible legal issues)? Pardon what many be a dumb question, as I know jack $hit about debugging.
