I have installed Downgrade_E3_CFW_3.55.pkg and in additional menu set parameter System_Update_debug_option to ON! Is it enought and same as QA Flag?
Need I to Set This option back to Off and search for QA Flag?
Thanks for your reply!

Thumbs up

they stole the original rebug QAflag code and made it there own, it works but always stick to the original tools =original rebug toggle_qa.pkg

anyway, its qa-flagged already now leave it ON and remove/uninstall the PKG, u don't need it anymore

also, one can (urs is lowest 3.50) just after downgrade to rehash syscon use OFW355, no need for 3.50 first

* downgrade with no check fw
* qaflag console
*enable system update debug( also great for later..update firmwares from the PS3 HDD
* reboot into recovery mode
* install OFW3.55
* dump-verify-save dump again
* syscon rehashed
* install the same CFW into recovery mode
* install any firmware from "system update" XMB menu-- from the HDD, its a little faster and great to test/switch CFW

Hi guys, needed some help here.

Thought I could go back to OFW from the rogero 3.55, so I was told to just boot into recovery mode and update to OFW 3.55, now I get the YLOD, any ideas what I should do now? =((((((((((((((((((((((((

EDIT: It updated and I went off to do some homework, then I heard two beeps or something, and the next thing, I came back and flashing red light. Turning it on again, all it got was the yellow light thing. I tried booting without the HDD too, and still yellow light.

My ps3 is still on the e3 flasher, anything I can do? Or is it actually a hardware failure?

Erm, meaning lowest possible firmware thing?

I have a verified backup of the rogero v2 3.55 is that ok? (I was updating from that cfw to OFW).

So means I have to solder? Or does this work? http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=36618

Last question: after installing 3.55 ofw, need i Set back Parametr "System debug firmware" to OFF?

no, just leave "system debug update" ON, it wont do any harm and easy swithing between eg cobra>rebug>rogero via XMB system update-update via hard disc later on.(no spoofs tho, pls correct me if wrong anybody?)

only when using a spoof on rogero for example, then if u like to switch later on to eg rebug, its best to update first back to OFW3.55.
it wont take OFW via XMB-system update-update via hard disc with a "spoof installed"
then u boot back into recovery
update to OFW3.55
boot into XMB
update to REBUG via system update -- update via hard disc

Code:
put the firmwares for this to work in this order on the PS3 hdd0\updater\

create folders in the updater(create it) folder, name them in order:
01\KMEAW.PUP
02\ROGEROv3.1.PUP
03\REBUG.PUP
04\COBRA.PUP
etc

do not forget a folder tho (01,02,03,05,06 = error)

Yeah I thought so just wanted to eliminate all chances! I've tried so many things but I think its time to give up. Will probably try and buy a 120GB PS3 to ensure that it is downgradable and sell this one off (maybe keep the 320GB HDD )

Thank you playerkp420!!

That will probably work.

But I would recommend soldering. Just to be sure you have a good connection.

After that I just follow the e3 flasher manual correct?

Also, after flashing, I should be in rogero v2 cfw correct (the bios is from that)? Or is it the OFW 3.55? if it's in the cfw, how do I go about getting back to OFW firmware?

Do I need to QA Flag? (I was told it was unnecessary) [Something about a syscon check thing because I downgraded from 4.11 Demo firmware with the e3, not sure it applies since I bricked my ps3 after going 4.11 demo->rogero 3.55 v2 -> OFW 3.55 (via recovery mode and then it bricked) and now trying to restore]
