Iv'e searched around the forums a bit for the answer and can't seem to find a definitive one.... Is it possible to install linux on the latest cobra cfw? I have a cobra dongle and ive seen bootos 2.1 Ive installed bootos2.1 and have lv2 patcher but when i run bootos 2.1 i get an error message that says lv1 error etc etc.... Ive seen some1 else on this forum with the same problem but is it absolutely necessary that you need to run kmeaw or the dual gameos otheros cfw in order to install linux?

As far as I know this is not possible due to the patches used by the cobra MFW. That is the problem with these dongles. Sure you may get new features, or newer warez if you use True Blue, but at the cost of being forced to use a butchered MFW. Also kmeaw (unless you patched it, or found a patched version) does not support OtherOS. BootOS is an older means of Linux on MFW and is now also outdated. As per your comment about the sticky, the Linux threads were created a while ago before all these dongles.
