Haven't found a thread that solves this problem
I have a Ps3 Slim (CECH-2501A) with e3 flasher limited installed.


The ps3 turns on and stays on with no screen showing. No HDD activity. I can successfully reflash my bios back up and install the downgrade_bin but the usbs don't power up my e3 card reader... any ideas I want to take it to the shop but they told me to bring it in without the e3 flasher. how would they fix it with out my backup bios ? Since I soldered the wires and stuff I feel capable of doing this myself. If theres no way to fix this whats the best way to use this ps3 in helping me buy another one.

Upload you bios backup and post the link . Did you solder a wire from the SBE to the PAO Tri State point and flash the original unpatched backup in Fun Flash Mode ? ( first switch UP , rest down )

yes I did solder the wire. My ps3 flashes my bios back up. thats not the problem. my problem is when I put my e3 card read after I install the downgrade_bin. its like there's no power going through the usb.

Your backup is ok , keep trying !
I have one in the same situation , hope we can fix them
You said you flashed your original backup back but it's still a blackscreen , no hdd , no usb ? That's a brick . Why not try to do a backup again now and compare to the original one. If it's not identical try to flash it back with E3 Linker or Progskeet , if it's identical then maybe it's a hardware problem , some fuse blown

If its the fuse do you know of a guide on how to repair or do I have to take to a shop. my ps3 slim model is (CECH-2501a) 160gb and how do I compare the bios files

Did you check your minimum firmware?

is there a chance that it might be something like the GPU. Cause I don't get HDD activity or USB. All I need is the USB so my e3 card reader can work.
