Because you need to downgrade with the dongle inserted in the PS3. Otherwise the process will not work.

hmmm... I thought the E3 Flasher did it all :/ So bassicly the E3 needs the dongle to downgrade and vice verse ? The problem is that I cant find a usb dongle on ebay where can I get one and are they explensive ?

I just read that I can use a rooted android phone to do what the dongle do.. To put the ps3 i reset/factory settings... And I actually have a rooted galaxy s2 Can this be done that way ?

ok, so I decided I will do it the safest way... I will buy the ps3key instead of using android .. feels much better :D
So this is what I will need to buy =

but I´m a bit confused about the ps3key... it says that it only supports fw 3.41 but it can downgrade from 3.55.. so what i think is that the e3flasher makes the ps3 think its on 3.55 and with the help of the ps3key it can donwgrade .. Am I right ? But the most important part is ... are you 100% sure that this http://www.chipper.se/ps3key will work ? thnx:D
