Hi guys

I have successfully downgraded from 4.11 official to Rogero 3.1 and every thing was fine. I wanted to have Rebug 3.55.2 and I put my PS3 in recovery mode and updated the Rogero to Rebug but it end up with red light of death. am I missing something ? If I want to go back to official 4.11 from SONY can I just update it from recovery mode while I am at Rogero CFW ? thanks for your answer and help in advance

did you go back to 3.41 if i am not mistaken thats what you got to do and before doin that qa flag your ps3 to do it

I did not downgrade to 3.41 if that what you mean. I directly downgraded to Rogero 3.1
Shall I go through the qa flag in Rogero CFW ? or is it restricted to 3.41 ?

I have done it with the E3 flasher but did not make the step with qa flag.

is your ps3 still working if it is just read thru the second link it should help
you out to install any other you have to qa flag your console to downgrade to ofw 3.41 then back up to 3.55 ofw then any cfw after read thru it its got all your answers

thanks for your answer :-) The reason I asked to make sure that the downgrade should start at 3.41 or I could do it directly on to 3.55 but I found out that from rogero v3.1 and go to recovery mode to update to 3.55 end in red light death. Therefore it could be that updating to 3.41 is a must and not optional

Edit/ I just put the OFW 3.41 and put it in recovery mode but it can't read it its says update with 3.55 and above on screen. I have checked and I can get down to less than version 3 on my PS3

what is the lowest firmware your ps3 go down to check with minverchk try find it somewhere and see what the lowest it can go to or if not it might be the 4.11 spoof might be not letting it install do a bit more research i am sure

i havent downgraded before i am just guessing according to this you need to study this part

1. Enter recovery menu on your PS3.
a. with the PS3 on press and hold power till the machine turns off.
b. hold power button again til the PS3 turns on then off again.
c. hold power again until it beeps 3 times.
2. Put the OFW3.41_PS3UPDAT.PUP (or you can use OFW3.55_PS3UPDATE.PUP, and skip steps 5.+6.) on your flash drive like this:
root:PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP [remember to rename to PS3UPDAT.PUP]
3. Insert into the right usb port of the PS3 and choose option 6.
4. Follow the on screen instructions.
Now you will be on OFW 3.41. You can install a CFW 3.41 here if you like from recovery menu. and stay on that.
5. Replace the PUP file on your flash drive with OFW3.55_PS3UPDAT.PUP. [remember to rename to PS3UPDAT.PUP]
6. Put back into PS3 and navigate to system update and update from storage device. Follow the on screen instructions.
You will now be on OFW 3.55 and can install any CFW with recovery menu. Just replace the PUP file with your choice of CFW with the one on your flash drive.

I have done it exactly as you described but it can not recognize the OFW 3.41 and if I put directly OFW 3.55 then it end up in red light of death. But as you said it can be something with 4.11 spoof.
Note:I installed qa flag package successfully and it also beep 3 times and restart as its been described

are you doin the downgrade thru qa flag or thru service mode
