serious error 8002f281
My ps3 was stuck in an update loop because I have a faulty bluray drive. So I connected my Hd to the computer and formatted it. Now when I turn my ps3 on its just a blacki\ screen and then it turns off. Then I tried booting my ps3 in recovery mode and tried to update with a regular 3.55 and then it says " serious error 8002f281" someone pleease help ):

You might need to format your HDD to NTFS to get it to stop the loop and ask for you to insert the update on USB again.
Once you get it out of the loop, update to the OFW of any CFW you want and then finally the desired CFW, be sure to use recovery mode and select option 6 when updating to be safe. (for example: 3.21>3.55OFW>3.55Kmeaw all through recovery menu) If you keep getting stuck in this loop, something is loose and not making a proper connection, normally the BR drive or wifi board etc. Source: mistawes

if the wiki was available he could check the error there but it isn't so... i guess that's the only alternative he has

If no one is posting the google cache info from ps3devwiki:
Update error 0x8002F281 Error with installing Firmware update. Check the connection of the Wifi/BT board. Issue with the PS3 harddrive. 0x8002F281 Issue with the PS3 harddrive. Reboot system and use Recovery Menu options. If error persist, Format the hd on a pc, reinsert it to the ps3, install update (normal/recovery mode), format hd on install. If still not fixed: exchange harddrive.
