Well, they don't supply ANY games. They ask people who have bought them to provide them to them for free so they can in turn, charge people to play them. I don't see a problem with him charging for his services. Maybe he has something better to do with his time. He just shouldn't charge the extra 100 for the games. Then again, I don't think Sony should charge for DLC and I don't think Microsoft should charge to change your username. I guess everything is worth what a person will pay for it. I've done all my systems on my own for free and refuse to pay people for it.

$25 for installing CFW, eh? And SOME people agree this is fair due to it being a service... I am going to go out of my way and create an ad then. With the mods permission I am going to charge $10 for a link to a tutorial on ps3hax that explains how to do this ALL ON YOUR OWN. Of course, a percentage of the proceeds I receive from my victims will be generously donated to ps3hax.

The point is, WTF is the difference? Greed is greed I suppose, and their are too many people just trying to make a quick buck in this world.

It's not about it being a service or anything like that though. It is ALL about the Fact that some people are not comfortable doing it themselves and are more than willing to spend approx £13 for someone else to do it for them.

Just because we know how and are comfortable doing it does not mean everyone is.

The amount of PC's I have built for people or sorted Windows out for them means I *could* have made a reasonable bit of pin money if I did it as a little business, and even though I didn't charge, I have been given monies and gifts just for doing it anyway.

The games are wrong, but if people are not willing to pay then he will not make a penny, and sorry, but that is the way the big scary world works mate............. Supply and demand

If he claimed he wrote the CFW it would be a whole new ball game, but he doesn't.

PC World did now write Windows but they charge a fee for sorting it out or even setting your new PC up for you. That's not a moralistic issue, it's purely down to the end user not having the knowledge or faith to do it for themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I agree 100% he is scum for the game side of it, but for the CFW he is just making coin out of something some people cannot do themselves.

It is not so much the service (installing CFW) that irks me; it is how the ad is portrayed. Like others have stated, this is worse than TB. At least with TB you get a physical item. He is selling piracy, and no, I don't mean this because he offers 160 or so games, but because he promotes his service by allowing the option to also get games as part of his service. He uses piracy as a means to sell his service of installing CFW.

Sell a service all you want, but don't promote the service you are rendering with piracy just to make it sound more appealing to prospective clients. Anyone not able to do this themselves will most likely not have the means to obtain free games, and many of them would probably want CFW for this reason. Therefor, his "service" will be more appealing to these people, all because he promoted his service with piracy.
