Ouch, this hurted
Im not sure what parts of what i wrote has been lost, but i think there is nothing related with offsets or things like this hard to restore (actually i dont keep copyes in my pc) This restored copy from the past week has saved my ass, not completly because the last days i was trying to clean up the "game saves" page (and i dont remember if others)... in fact the wiki went down for me the other day while editing this page :/ @defyboy (and TMAnd for the backup copy) Thanks for the support and the interest in restoring newer backups Im not going to edit pages yet (i have a small hope that a newer backup appears) i will wait a few days, or i will edit pages in my pc @Lady Anne Blunt Our pocketstation died ![]() Also all the offset table in the eboot.pbp talk page about PS1 virtual memory cards in .VMP format (the territory where pockestation lives) I love this "easter egg", it needs to be resurrected |

@sandungas
, Lady Anne Blunt & other contributors:
I've tweeted another callout, in the hope someone somewhere comes forward with a newer backup, although I am not very optimistic about it (the backup TMAnd gave was a positive surprise). I am currently restoring /files/ behind closed doors until queue is finished (but on my bandwidth that can take a looooooong time). After that, I will look further into editing wiki pages. So if anyone has a backup, please come forward before that, as I do not know the effect importing backups will have when newer edits collide. Speaking about restoring classics and longing : Simon & Garfunkel - Homeward Bound (Monterey 1967) - YouTube Thank you all for your patience and support

If there are too much differences this task can be impossible This is why i said i dont want to edit pages, because in the try to fix them i can ruin the (little) chances to recover them if a newer backup is found But other way to edit pages is by making big edits (big blocks of texts easy to recognize), and keeping a copy in your PC (because probably will be erased if a newer backup is found) Btw... when the last backup has been restored the edits has been asigned to different users, right ? (pasted to the last edit of the last user?) Its a bit confusing when trying to imagine wich ones are the last chronologically by each user |

Edit management was past year more a task I took upon my own, so in event of merging, I will keep a close eye on it to prevent things going wrong.
Yes, merging is with loss of 'ego', as the XML used does not have that data, only the page itself (I did not pay attention if it was attributed to last user edit though - but that would be logical). Last edited by euss; 04-20-2012 at 02:56 AM. |

OUps, i didn t see this message and i already started back the infos about memory card.
(sorry i keep a backup about this so if you need to erase it to make sure there are no problems about merging, please) (about contributors name, it s not a problem at all for me, most of the infos i add are generic things or easy to find like error code)

I found this thread by casualty, maybe a message in the devwiki forums explaining this details and a link from main page lilnking to this message is a good idea ? (and also with a request for a newer backup)
I imagine there is some people a bit confused after all this that was editing pages and are waiting to see some kind of advise |
