Now not everyone pirates, I have never pirated a game and never plan on it. For one I wipe my hard drive clean all the time to start new projects. I even own 2 copies of some of my games to play online with 2 PS3's. I think if someone is going to try and sell copied games they should go to jail. If you can't afford to buy them or rent them then don't play them. I am all about the freedom of our systems when some team work or a guy for months/years on a game then we should buy it and not steal it

In my country, the politicans are the ones who shoud go to jail (since the insane import taxes are their fault). Is easy to just say "piracy is wrong" based on the realities of where you live, but other economic realities is hard to judge.

In Brazil , buying a ps3 can means work for 2 months earning the base salary. In some regions (S, SE) its ok, people can earn 20x the base salary but in other regions is not so easy. Show a ps3 for a 14 years boy with no means to afford it and in a week you can see the same boy stealing to be able to buy the console.

minimum wage (month) =R$ 622,00 (~u$330,00)
ps3 price= R$1400,00 (~u$ 750,00)
psvita=r$ 1699,00 (~u$900,00)

I do not condone piracy and pay for all my ps3 games, but I understand why piracy is a common thing here (and in almost all third-world nations around the world).

What the hell, you own 2 copies of some games so you can play online with 2 PS3's... what at the same time? How many hands do you have?!

I admit I have pirated before, most of us on this wonderful forum have and to me piracy is a personal choice either you do or don't. But NO-ONE should be condemned for their own personal choice on the matter at the end of the day software developers are still rich, the console makers are still even richer and for us poor schmucks for a few blissful hours of playing can forget that our houses are at risk, the bailiffs are lurking round the corner & that for dinner tonight we all got beans on toast again!!

Downloading & then selling games for you own personal gain is sh!tty tho and them people should be strung up by their "nether-regions" and get stoned (By huge F**KIN Rocks!).

Oh and to your "if you can't afford to buy or rent a game, don't play it" ... I am glad you are quite "well-off" as you have made yourself sound but some of us aint that lucky. I say if you really can't afford a game then either wait till its on your local second-hand shelf or if its something you really really wanna play and it will bring at least a little piece of fun and helps you forget for just a couple of hours about your daily problems/debts/whatever then go on... download the hell out of it. Just please don't back that crap up and sell it on.

Nope two hands but check leader boards on black ops zombies and you will find my psn there in two spots on the maps, It's FUcheater and fucheaters. So yeah I can play two systems at once. If you want more proof go to my youtube it's 3277jr

Yeah and there is a lot of things that I would like to buy my 13 yo daughter that I can't afford but that doesn't mean she is going to go and steal it. I raised her better than that.

Why do I charge $25?

1. For the time it takes me to install every single modded EBOOT available.
2. For the time I spent creating .pkgs to quickly install all the emulators, themes, and other homebrew.
3. For the detailed PDF I created to help teach the person about the scene.
4. For the time spent fixing anything they screw up.
5. For my time.
6. I have 6 mouths to feed and every little bit helps. I really do not care if any of you approve of what I do outside of this forum. This thread is an invasion of my privacy..

I also help these people find a 3.55 PS3. You guys think I just slap on the firmware and let them do everything else on their own.... I basically do everything that took me months to learn and test for myself. I make sure the console is 100% ready for any game and fully loaded with other things such as emulators....
Funny how people charge to mod 360's and that is totally fine lol.
