Thanks.

You will not lose any data. Go to the recovery menu, by holding the power button, etc...., and choose option 6.

Worked like a champ guys, almost there! I noticed it referenced an older version of Multiman so I installed 4.2.3 which I believe is the latest. Do I still need to install BDEMU2? Also, I haven't brought the unit on-line yet, do I need to be concerned about giving the device internet access with the modded firmware? At this point I can grab a backup and fire it up from any medium? USB Stick, DVD, FTP upload, etc?

Bdemu2 should be in the Multiman u have and I always disable internet access to be safe. Some games require an eboot fix and some games require a dongle such as True blue to play some of the newer games just so u know. Also some games need any ps3 game disc to run here is a list for you I would save this for the future too

http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List

another helpful site for game updates and much more is (Be aware that some game updates are signed with higher FW keys and will not work with your backup)

http://store.brewology.com/

If u have any question just ask and I will do my best to help

Thanks very much for the kind words, I really genuinely appreciative for the help and try to express that. I identified this site to have the smartest and most helpful user base which is why I joined. Who knows, in time maybe I'll be answering questions (:

Well, my first attempt at playing a backup failed miserably. It was Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 which I copied to a USB device then attached to the PS3. Scanned for new games, no love. Eventually went in through the file browser in Multiman and drilled through the folders until I found something I could launch, when I went to launch, Multiman warned me some games would not launch this way and in fact it did not. It did nothing except reload the XBE I believe or maybe Multiman. I forgot. What did I do wrong?

Many Thanks!

Jeffrey

Alright, well I have Red Dead Redemption and Winter Stars. Found a FAQ somewhere on playing games of an external drive so I created 4 folder on my USB device VIDEO, GAME, PICTURE & MUSIC, then copied the two game folders in to the GAME folder. The game folders are called BLUS30418 and BLUS30740. The only change I made was deleting the files in the PS3_UPDATE folder because I was afraid my firmware would get changed. I then loaded multiman and ran a Scan from the game menu, it found nada. I then went through the file manager and manually launched the EBOOT.BIN file for each game, nothing. What step did I miss? Did I get bad info?
Thanks!

Per my last post I copied both BLUSXXXX folders in to the GAME folder on the USB drive but multiman did not recognize and was unable to aunch boot files through file manager.

Thanks!

Negative on the internal, so there is no room for error can you please let me know what the full path would be on the internal? I think this may sort me out and I'll be off to the races.. Util my next stupid question at least.
