I've got it a few days ago on mine through Optus. One thing I like is that I could uninstall all of Optus's apps. Feels a bit quicker. Battery still the same for me I guess. Need more time to check.

I have been running ICS for about a week now. I flashed a UK unbranded rom to my Orange UK SGSII using Odin.
Have a look at this thread on XDA-Developers, it has all of the roms released so far and rooted kernels for all of them. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1544487 I have ICS to be much quicker than Gingerbread and I have not found any bugs at all. |

Yeah thanks for reminding me, I just the update now on my white S II...it's really good, Google Chrome beta is really quick and face unlock is pretty cool!
Was crapping myself as well when it rebooted and was just sort of stuck on the "S" boot logo but afterwards it unpacked itself and all's been good. Definetly upgrade, runs really smoothly as well.

it is if you are not using proprietary, but a custom rom, ICS from samsung or modded with bloatware from network providers are ****.
just get a cyanogen mod release or any of the custom roms around like miui there are so many, that are way better than stock ICS+bloatware. also for people afraid of losing warranty, you do realize you can flash a stock rom from factory to the phone, using Odin don't you?

I have it and I don´t see any problems at all, I have read that people are having problems with battery etc but ignore that, the battery is actually better now :D and as you might know you can downgrade anytime you want by using odin to flash(install) it back to ex: 2.3.5 :D
Here are the galaxy s2 firmwares, search for hte one you want and need and just google ODIN and then use it to flash the firmware you want http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?p...00&r=1#regiona
