I have recently fixed a 1st gen fat ps3 from ylod. The Owner got a new one and said i could keep his. Its on 3.72.

Q1: There's no CFW for 3.72. If any, could not run backups/home brew

Q2: there's no other way to downgrade it to 3.55 w/o buying 3rd party hw, rg, E3 loader.

If im wrong please let me know. A lot of the threads my searches come up with are old so its hard to find relevant information and know if it is out dated or not.

I appreciate your help as I imagine I'm probably not the only one to ask this. If it cannot be JB without downgrading using E3, then I'm just going to sell it.

A.1 There is no CFW for 3.72

A.2 You WILL need E3 Flasher or Proskeet there is no other way to downgrade

Alrighty, thanks for the info. Well im going to try to sell it.... how much do you think i can get for a reflown ps3?

You are correct. Only way to JB is to downgrade with hardware flasher.

If it is a nor chip model, you can use either e3 flasher, Progskeet, or teensy++. if it is a nand chip model you can use Progskeet or teensy++.
