Atlantis most likely was what we call modern day Santorini(Thera)or ancient Akrotiri. The volcanic eruption on the island was the beginning of the end for the Minoan civilization. This is what I study in school and there is enough evidence to support it. There's also theories matching the eruption that could have brought on the 10 plagues of the bible. You should check it out if you haven't already heard of it. Very cool choice though, I'm an archaeology major so I'm very fascinated by this stuff. My choices have a lot to do with the field too.
