With a very simple process, we can change our CFW 3:55 a 3:55 any other fw! You can follow this guide also who wants to go back to OFW to CFW.Made by the staff of consolehackdev


preparation:

Create a folder "updater". Inside the folder updater create many folders renaming 01 to xx as there are firmware that we want (in my case I created 01, 02, 03 and 04).
Copy files PS3UPDAT.PUP, one for each folder and rename them to whatever you want (for example in the 01 TB CFW, the CFW in 02 KMEAW etc). When you have finished copying the folder updater / dev_hdd0 /. Using multiman just go to file manger, press circle and copy the folder / dev_hdd0 /

Starting from a PS3 with CFW 3:55 we have:

1. Enable QA flag


2. Access the debug settings and enable System Update Debug


3. Go to "System Update" then "update via Hard Disk"


4. Click on your desired fw

The toggle is no possible change cfw because ofw is permanent.This tutorial using the qa

yes, its' old, but the guide did not specify how to use the swap with OFW. No one has posted how to enable it permanently for not using a usb support. Thought was right and then make it complete for all. Sorry my english...

this tutorial is no different than that one (check his pic out OFW is in the list I don't see your argument)

is not 'specified for the OFW switchare also without the use of USB support is enabled on how to enable it permanently qa in any tutorial.Missing part, and 'how to do that we have expanded the reach of all

Using a procedure a bit more long (specialpup+ qaflag.pkg) if you want to include the OFW 3.55. This procedure makes the qa flag permanent ..... This is the pkg to use with the specialpup. Only use this to get the permanent qa.

for one this doesn't work on my CECHA01, on the other hand I'm quite interested in this permanent QA idea as the flag can always be removed by REBUG's Toggle QA or a combination of OtherOS++special.pup and it's tools and no matter which way I enable QA flag it can always be done on any OFW 3.55 and lower (I myself just used QA flag on 2.60 OFW)

is there anything different, a normal QA flag works like this..the old guide, only with spoofers it won't take a OFW via XMB-System update- Update via HDD, its the spoof causing this, normally one can go from 355CFW back and forth to OFW355(no spoof) via XMB, + spoof is via recovery mode

i don't get whats new about this?
ok, i never updated a CFW>>OFW via XMB, always recovery, but like i sais with a spoof it aint working, is this fixed with this?!

its easy alright..updating from HDD
