There is any way to check PS3 CPU and GPU temp'?
I refreshed the thermal paste of my fat PS3, and would really like to know if the temperature is cool now or something go wrong.
There is any option to check it? |

Easy, if you turn it on and it doesn't combust.. it may be working the way you want it to.
But seriously at this point as posted before, there is currently no way of checking the temp of either processing unit via homebrew or a hardware mod. UNLESS you have a CFW 3.55 with OtherOS++ , I think you could install a temperature monitor on your linux dist. I doubt it would read anything but you could try.

How about one of these??
http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm...olesalers.html I'm sure you could find a cheaper one, but that is the concept i was thinking of... It should be very accurate if applied right to where you want the temp.

i dont know why somone hasnt written a app yet to replace the "news ticker"
i know the system reads the vaule of the temps, it can monitor the CPU/GPU & also the HD temp..... but it should be realityvly easy to write an app to display that data. ( on my linux ps3....i have a app that tells me that info....(lm-sensors) & Ksim |

I ran apt-get install lm-sensors (I believe) and it did some stuff. apt-get install ksim didn't do anything. What can I use and how can I use it to do this? I really want to monitor the temps. |

It didn't post the link to the tutorial I used because it's a youtube link. Search for "Asbestos installer v1.5 debian squeeze ps3" it's the first one.
