So I had my fat ps3 on 3.66 and today it RSOD on me. Strange, so i took out the HDD, plugged it into pc. It wasnt initialized. So I init'd it, and formatted to fat32. slap it in, get the usual msg of plug in usb with update data and push start n select. So i put ofw 4.11 on usb andhit start. It says it needs to reformat HDD and it does that all good, and then it goes to the ofw4.11 install user agreement. I agree to all that and start the install. it creeps up to about 41% and then jumps to 100% and resarts. RSOD again. Put hdd in pc, not initialized. is there any hope or is the nor fukd?

There is a RSOD fix.

But you have to be on 3.55 to do it. So, you would have to downgrade with a hardware flasher. Then do the fix.

I have fixed a few RSOD ps3s. The ones that were above 3.55, I used my e3 flasher to downgrade.

mmm if you're ps3 was on 3.55 once, i think you could downgrade it and after that apply this solution

im sure it was at one time, but not any more so that fix is out. Guess im screwed and jewed.

as I said, you can downgrade it back to 3.55 and then apply that fix--
