They most likely had no intention in keeping otherOS anyway, and since then they have removed whatever the f*ck they want anyway.

GEOHOT and SONY are c*nts, but atleast for the iPhone Hotz gave me something back.

But I understand why the guy needed to co-operate, keeping his arse intact the most likely reason.

This is why the PS3 scene on the whole will simply not progress. If it's not notoriety (GeoHot) it's profit (TrueBlue) or a of dumb ass rumors (BD Emulation). I am an end user and fully understand and appreciate the hours, days, months of time that are put into finding ways to further the PS3 scene but how far is it really going to go if everyone it looking out for number one?

The fact that your bad mouthing Geohotz shows 2 things. 1) You have no idea what your talking about & what goes on behind the scenes. 2) Just how pathetic the PS3 scene is, No wonder all the decent people stay away from it. Even without other os so 4.11 can be hacked using the hints he given. Not going to be easy task at all though.

His ego is definitely up there but, I respect him still as he still talks about freedom of information for everyone and that right there is important. People have to remember that he was in a bad situation and I'd imagine that if anyone else in that situation would be ****ting their pants. He made the choices that he could, its not like he just say no I don't want to do this and the whole thing is dropped. Sony was on his ass and he resorted to the only options he had. There are good points and bad points to everyone and personally in my opinion to me he is still respectable. The only thing I found that he was in the wrong was he didn't credit f0f for their work, that being said I don't remember if he did or not. The part about him being a sell-out someone needs to explain that part to me as I don't see how he is one, not that I am apposing the idea it is just I don't have any knowledge in that part and so I can't come to a personal opinion like everyone did.

I've always respected him for the iPhone scene. He accomplished a lot. But lost it when he stabbed the ps3 scene in the back.

He is an unethical attention whore. All he's ever done was copy other people's doings, add some dramatic text as why he is a God, code some simple sһit and release as if it was all his doing.

If there is someone that should disappear (read: die or be imprisoned), it's not Sony engineers doing their job, it's not crackers wanting freedom on their system. It's Geohot wanting to be a celebrity just like an attention seeking teenager. I seriously hope people stop taking him seriously... The better thing to do would be to ignore him, or write to these journals that interview him a counter-story, providing FACTS on how he is a prick.

Maybe someone from ps3hax could start a thread on the forum in order to collect evidence on how Geohot doesn't deserve any praise, but rather humiliation. Once the thread has enough data, we could mass email it to all major journals or even put on a well-organized website and link it to everyone who ever told his name. If the attention whore shows on the thread, moderators should ban him on the first comment he makes.

graf_chokolo remains with serious legal problems after all his real work on the hypervisor. Geohot raises thousands of dollars within days because he is a "God". I hate this world. Fuсk everything.
