We already know how Geohot hacked the PS3.
Also if I understand it well enough the previous hack relied on dumping loaders. This time around the loaders are encapsulated inside Lv0 and that is why we can't just dump loaders, hence why everyone is saying we need to work on Lv0 or even bootldr.

When I read posts by PS3-users here I cannot think that any developer is willing to do some work for those ungreatfull bastards, all they get is slack from them for not releasing any new CFW yesterday..
Why do you think developers like DarkAlex left the PSP-scene, why do you think most 'top'-developers of the PS3-scene left it..

Remember, one of the reasons why Geohot actually got into hacking the PS3 was because the removal of OtherOS from the Slim (and sony telling people they removed it because of technical reasons, which ofcourse we now know is BS as it runs just as good on the Slim as on the Phat). Sony wanted to get rid of OtherOS completely and used the hacking as an excuse (as even a simpleton can figure out that removing OtherOS won't stop hackers from using the older Firmware until they really unlocked it completely)..

It's easy to say that hackers should just go on if you aren't the one which might get sued by a company like Sony. A lawsuit can costs you all your savings,time (which can costs you your job) and disrupt your whole life.

fail0verflow used NONE of his work, his work had nothing to do with the PS3 being hacked, i don't know why people have this deluded idea that it does.

If it hadn't of been for fail0veflows work, GeoHot would not have been able to release the keys and the second PS3 MFW....

Besides releasing his mfw, he didn't really give us anything but headaches and exclamation points in the PS3 scene. There are many other devs that actually deserve this kind of recognition.
