ive done all the steps in the noobs jailbreaking guide from here
and ive gotten 2 games loaded onto the ps3 harddrive
but i havent been able to get a game to run yet
i know the bluray laser is faulty in the ps3 because nothing happens when i put in a ps3 disk
is there any game that will play without having a disk in the ps3
i just want to test that everything else will work
when i try to launch a game now i either get stuck in a black screen or i get kicked back to the xbm

@del72 you will need a backup manager to load the games from your hard drive get one if you already haven't done so. I and everyone else over here on this forum would recommend multiMan.

ive tried multiman and giag manger and rogero but just cant get a game to run

Have you installed BDemu v2?

Once you press start on the game you want to load in multiman, it loads and you "get kicked" to the XMB. From there have you tried loading from the app_home/PS3_GAME icon?

If the game supports it: it would allow you to load the back up without a disk in the drive.

Some games need patches to allow diskless (discless?)

Instead of saying you have done "all the steps" according to "the guide" in here, please descrive all steps you have done. Would really help alot, as most of us would probably be able to quickly see if there is some fundamental mistake, you have made. (So in short: if the problem is with you and not the PS3, we can probably see where you did wrong, if you describe it to us..)

when i load a game in multiman ,its goes back to the xbm and when i go to the app_home/PS3_GAME icon i get a error (80010017)
ok here is what i done
1/ updated to ofw 3.55
2/ updated with kmeaw 3.55
3/then i installed multiman (and have added giagmanager and rogero since then to try them)
4/then installed BDEMU2
5/then i installed ftp
6 i installed a 4.11 spoof
7/ i installed 2 games to the ps3 harddrive (1 psn game 1 normal)
8/spent 2 days trying to get one to run

ive also installed a lv2 patcher but if i run this before multiman ,multiman wont load it freezes on the multiman loading screen

Sounds about right to me.

LV2 patcher is not required anymore.

Does the PSN game require ReactPSN?

What non PSN game are you trying to run?,.... I swear to god if its a game requiring 3.60+ I'm gonna go bat-sh!t crazy.

What games are you trying to run. Also try them from an external HDD.

ok ive deleted the lv2 patcher
ive been mainly tring to run a psn game zombies never die
i dont see any option to run this in multiman only the xmb and when i try to play it i get stuck on a black screen
i dont know anything about reactpsn
have tried to run the same game from usb stick buy only get the option to install

The instructions come with the DL'd pkg

No backup manager is needed. Just CFW 3.41-3.55 with install package option.

Perhaps you downloaded from a broken source? I had PSN "GOW: ghosts of sparta" and no matter what I did it would crash, obtained from a different source and it worked.
