Hello, I have a copy of Skyrim, and I want to play it, but I'm on KMEAW cfw 3.55

Is there any way to play this without updating? I've read up on spoofers, and I am wondering if that would work? If not, maybe there's a way to upgrade to OFW while keeping my ability to play homebrews?

Also, unrelated, but I'm looking for themes for my ps3, any help with that? Thanks

It is not possible as things are now. You have 4 options:

1) Buy a TrueBlue/JB-King dongle
2) Update to OFW
3) Crack the eboot yourself
4) Crack the TB dongle and play it on your CFW

No problems. There is a homebrew app just released that help you to design your own them. It is in the news section.

There is away. I actually have it "booting" on a firmware similar to kmeaw 3.55. The reason booting is in quotes is because right now it crashes in ten minutes or less. Right now its almost like once you launch a random timer is started and when time expires the game crashes. Never fear though I am much farther along then I was a month ago when all I was getting is black screens.

Yes, with this game and a few others that require a firmware higher then 3.55 and they all do about the same. So for the last two weeks I have only been working on Skyrim specifically.

This is an interesting post. If possible can you share your findings? There are a lot of people here who could help based on your progress.

I will probably have to release it to some others for help because it seems I may have hit a brick so to speak. I am not sure if the failure comes in at the decryption or re-encryption stage. I think it would be far easier to make those EBOOTs released for the True Blue dongle work but I do not wanna rely on those types to get things working. What I am trying is a PS3 app that would allow a user to install a game to the HDD then use the app to navigate to the games EBOOT and patch it to work.
