He never told us how he did it, and he disclosed to Sony how it was done, so that they could patch it... Not something we would really need.

Besides, GeoHots talent stemmed from Failoverfl0ws' work. I heard it was similar in the iPhone scene too. Of course though, Failoverfl0w isn't part of that scene.

I know about the part, where he used information from Failoverfl0ws' work, which is perfectly okey do to as the information was freely available and he did not charge anyone money for the CFW. However, in regards to the iOS jailbreak that information is not true. He did work with Team Cr0nic on the exploit, however he discovered his own exploit and released it before them.

Just up until recently when I read The Newyorkers' article, where it said he disclosed all of his exploit (that he never disclosed us, but whatever) I lost everything for him.

But you don't know the whole story. Maybe he was in a serious sh!tter and had to do it to protect his livelihood? We do not know the full story, but let's just focus on the good things and forget about the bad things, because he did contribute to the scene.

as far as i know he was working for facebook, facebook made a deal with sony not to sue him, maybe they even pay sony, last news about him is that he has its own company developing something geolocation thing fpr facebook, but under own regie... in the post its says that he was invited by sony maybe i just get that wrong...
anyway you have to give him credit! frist one to hack iphone first one to hack ps3, come on, dont hate even if he copy some work he was the first to make it happend! but as iphone users i prefer using dev team tools bcoz he just throws his jailbreak out there without much testing also dev team is workng constant oin jb for iphone
