Ok, also.. Perhaps a stupid question. How you tried rebuilding permissions with multiman? And.. Perhaps the games you test with, needs some special flags set.. Have you tried playing around with values such as BD Mirror etc?..

thanks for the suggestion opolo i managed to get one game to run after moving it to the GAMES folder
i couldnt get infamous 2 to run but i noticed in multiman where it says the fw version needed to run the game and it says 3.60 ,so i guess thats the problem with that ,so is there a way to run games that require a higher firmware than 3.55 or can i only run game that require 3.55 or lower. i dont see the point in having a ps3 that only plays games up to 3.55 as ofw has gone past that now and you usally need the latest fw to play the latest games |

Multiman can edit a file in the games, so you can plat 3.56 games on 3.55. Other than that, you cant play higher firmwares' games.. And 3.55 is about 1,5 years old, so all games within a bit over a year cant be played. There is one exception, you csn buy a trueblue dongle.. It costs around 50euro I guess... It allows you to play a fair part of the games above firmware 3.56.. Not all though. The people behind trueblue needs to release a fix to the game... The udb dongle just makes you able to use the fix(so.. They earn money by selling the dongle...)
Search ps3 compability list on google.. There is a list of what games that has a fix.. If you really need to play the newest badly now, and not just some of the older. |

Infamous 2 requires a modded Eboot to play, then let multiman change the param.sfo to whatever is required, it will play fine.
Should be a google search away. |

You should be able to find a modded Eboot somewhere, don't worry about the eboot fix, use multiman file manager to replace the original with the downloaded one, delete any data and save data for infamous 2 and should be good to go.
Dont give in, persist because once you have it going its a good game. http://www.ps3scenefiles.com/category.php?id=8 Sign up and download here, got this link from a gent called DeadNBuried I think. Last edited by HulkWogan; 05-04-2012 at 03:19 PM. Reason: Add info |

This only works for a select few After 3.56 firmware, check link in last post, download and place the eboot onto a USB stick or hdd.
Start multiman and open the file manager, use the left side of the screen to access the eboot on your USB, now use the right to access your destination(infamous 2 folder where original eboot resides). Move back to the left side press circle (I believe) and choose copy or move, multiman will now show you the location it will copy too, agree and overwrite. Forgive me if I missed a step, remembering from my head. |
