hi just a few questions before I downgrade and jailbreak my ps3.

MY PS3 info
-Firmware 3.56
-320 HDD
-CECH-2504B
-manufacturing date 1a(January, February, March / 2011)

..and there are two types of CECH-25..B, the other downgradeable
Min.praxis is red filled, means its undowngradable? which CECH-25 is my ps3 categorized?

..also the manufacturing date 1a says "sometimes" if its downgradable to 3.55, what does this means?

i never updated the console sir. its 3.56 since i bought it.

If the version checker says 3.56 then sorry, but you are out of luck as you cannot go lower than that or you risk a brick.

well you can't downgrade you are stuck on that version. you can however install 356jfwma which is a custom firmware to install on a 3.56 machine, you would however need a flasher, and also think twice before installing such on ps3, lets just say that it is not the best piece of software to put in your machine.

You can sometimes downgrade that version. Even though it says minimum is 3.56.

The only way is to make a dump of the BIOS. Extract the dump with flowrebuiler. Then compare the bootldr and metldr with this metldr/bootldr table. If yours is marked "ok" in green, then you can use manual ps3devwiki method with flowrebuilder and e3 autopatches to downgrade.. If your metldr/bootldr is in red, then it is impossible to downgrade.

Check the link in the first post, to see if you can downgrade.

Then if you can you will need a hardware flasher, progskeet or e3 flasher.

BTW - I am assuming you know there is no jailbreak for any firmware 3.56+.

it can tell you if it's downgradable or not by telling you what's the minimal version you can install.

@Pockets69 , i'm pretty sure 3.56 JFW MA can only be installed from a lower firmware (e.g 3.41 or 3.55). it says so in their website (although it says it in spanish) .

edit: oh and, the minverchk is a special PUP that tells you the minimal version you can go to if you try to update with it. it's harmless

The minimum firmware check will say 3.56, but the only way to know for sure is to compare the metldr/bootldr with the table I linked in my last post. Click the link and look.
