And no... Just no, seems your focus is way wrong with the usage of this.
If I read it right, consider this something that allows one to walkthrough(debugging) through the SPU modules, for a far greater understanding of their mechanics

Instead of having a mysterious blackbox, which you give some input and sequently receive some output from, imagine you can open it op and see what happens when it receives it... From the computer of course

@mcmrc1 it was Landon in another thread I Couldn't help it and had to comment on it back then in that thread also It was just such an ignorant uninformed comment, when he could look at twitter at the exact same moment, and see the development of this being about to be released >_<
What he said.

In fact, I doubt we'll see a working-at-full-speed PS3 emulator on PCs even in the next 10 years!

Great contribution to the scene for those that can make use of it! Doesn't mean much for the average end user but for those who want to take the PS3s guts and put it in a lab environment (aka a PC) to analyse the crap out of it then this is a great step. Hopefully more can be built on this!

I can easily understand people don't understanding dev stuff, but seriously show some interest and support, even more now that we lack development, and when the scene is for all matters dead.
On all of the hacking sites I have been on, this is always the case. The noobs come out of the woodwork and ask the most obvious question which could be answered in one google search. Or better yet, one forums search... Stupid and ignorant are two things that are here to stay.

Even if you are joking, quite literally we are the latter of what you mentioned. Tutorials abound and we help those in need to hack their console. This really isn't a community of developers creating hacks and looking for exploits.

I think the 'problem' is that modding is no longer being done like this: How to mod a PS2 slim (PlayStation 2) - YouTube (All I can think while watching that video is "steeeeaaaadyyy").

Nothing more than putting a file on an USB key and running the PS3 update feature on a PS3 is needed to mod it anymore, or so it at least was once. I think, as soon as that possibility was there, people used it and came to expect that a solution that does it that way, would always be findable at the same places ._.

Kinda like a bird... Actually a lot. If you ever feed them on your bird table during the winter, you have to continue doing it for the rest of the winter, or they will come back and eventually die of hunger, since they become accustomed to being able to gain food that way D:

I placed 'problem' in quotes, because... It's not really a problem - rather the opposite. Being able to find food on a static positioned bird table is nice for a bird... The bird should just accept that there isn't always enough food for it... And the bird would be better off, by stopping peeping for more food, and instead safe its energies until some new comes.

Ok... Enough with the bird analogies for now.

This is awesome! I think the "game" for many devs just got into the next "stage"/"level". xD

Btw: @cfwprpht , I'm still waiting to pay you a beer. Just as promised. :P

i have made a private oath no no more respond to troll threads and only comment on confirmed helpfull threads, i have to say, perhaps there are more devs than we think, hiding around.

another thing, why so many "tools for ps3 devs" it just seems like the majority of scene releases are for other devs, like that ps3 "gui tools" ..is it just me, or is anyone using these tools?
