That is strange, because most of the phats I have done are CECHK and CECHL.

Yes it is Strange, I have even used two unsoldereed clips, which I received with linker and the other one with e3 flasher. I think I will order another single clip but one of the clips i have, worked on the slim but does not work on the phat.

I am getting lucky with the slim. Just done another with clip cech-2003b.

I just did another cechl01. It had the RSOD and I downgraded, with the clip and fixed it.

Well done. How did you fix the RSOD? Did you use the RSOD fix that I have seen posted not so long ago. If I recall you had to be on lower firmware?

Yeah, you have to be on 3.55 or lower. Because you cannot exit factory service mode on 3.56+.

Look here how to fix RSOD.

I've actually fixed 5 of them now. Most had to be downgraded first. They were all between CECHK - CECHP. I think those models are the most common to get that error.

That's why I think its strange you have problems with those models. I have found them to be easier than the cech-2500s. If you solder the e3 linker they should definitely work. Make sure you have all the points soldered correctly.
