Discless games = PSN. If you mean to play backups on your internal PS3 drive, simple = you can't.

It kinda sort of does not matter if kakaroto condones piracy or not. If he releases his working exploit then someone else can jump into messing with/exploiting the hypervisor. Or maybe some other exploit that would allow games to run.

@ps3maniak It can run homebrew which would most likely include Showtime and emulators (SNES and that). It's not always about backup loaders and pirating you know >.>

KaKaRoTo was making a jailbreak not an entire custom firmware. The aim was to do this without needing to patch lv1 or lv2. Historically we have patched and added the ability to peek and poke lv1 or lv2's memory space.

Without this ability, you cannot run backup managers.
