So my PS3 is really being a pain in the a$$ lately. First of all I had a hard drive with quite a few games and then decided to load a game, it came back to XMB but the BD Drive icon didnt change so I went back into MultiMan and saw that the hard drive was loaded and it had full space left...Yeah it formatted my f****n hard drive. Now I was playing Duplex's release of Driver SF and then it froze while the saving icon was on so I had to restart my PS3, after it booted up I frantically went back to Driver and loaded it impatiently and then when I chose story it only gave me the option to start new game. I put 8 f****n hours into that game and now its all gone. Why does this damn console have to f**k me over like this, Why? I'm just so pi$$ed right now

Try flashing it back to 3.55 ofw then back to 3.55 cfw. Something might of went wrong when you jailbroke it.

What problem would it solve, i'm using the CFW from E3 Flasher.
My Ext Hard drive never got formatted, it says it is full but it shows up as local disc on my computer and I cant read or access any files on it on my computer or PS3, I even put it in my E3 sata station to see if it was the external exclosure but sadly it wasn't. In short - When I open it in my computer it shows nothing (empty) but it says 24GB left from 1.8TB

The downgrade process isn't complete until you dehash. Going to OFW 3.55 then back to CFW may help your console run properly.

I'm not saying this will allow you to retrieve the data from your hdd. Only saying it may prevent it from happening again in the future.

If you don't know how to dehash, follow the guide below from chapter 2, part 2 "QA flag".

Thanx, still pi$$ed about my Driver SF save tho, and I can retrieve my data with EASEUS but I don't have another hard drive to back it up on

So if I do Chapter 2: Part 2 and 3. Then it wont brick (using the toggle qa because I can't solder) and I can install any firmware and the whole format thing wont happen again? Could you please tell me why it happened in the first place, and what CFW do you advise?

I'm not sure exactly why? Maybe it has something to do with the ros0 folder being empty after downgrade. Not sure.
