Exclamation need help with ps3 cooling

Hi, since the piece of crap fan in my ps3 slim doesnt work and my ps3 cant be on for more then 2mins I decided to search the internet for solutions... I found somd "external" cooling fans but can they work as good as the internel one I had ?
this is the one I'm talking about ----> http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.Th...an_Black-45274

please if anyone knows if this would do the work help me cuz its much more expensive to go to a store and repair the broken one since we dont have alot of these in sweden...
thanks in advance

i dont know about such extern cooling devices, i think they have to be very loud to cool enough from so far distance... and i dont belive this alone will fix your problem, best and cheapest way imo to fix this is pop open the ps3 housing and replace the original fan, or replace him with a eqaul powerfull one, you can use fans from old computers, boxed cpus ect... for the power you can use usb if you do not want to solder or recable the original powersource

I would first find out why my fan quit. And if possible get new ps3 fan with the 19 blades(the one with the most blades) and u can also get a fan controller like the ezchill by @KillerBug my ezcool works great.

yeah you can use any fan that fits and runs fast enough, power can come from usb, you have to dismantel the usb plug and find the powerwires, just attach the fin to that and terminate the other one, but its true maybe youre fin is just dirty and if you clean it it will run again, measure with an voltmeter if you get power on the wires

I can't solder due to vision problems so I have a trusted person do that for me but at times does cost. I had a fan with the same issue, no contact and had it soldered to a different point for power but keep in mind I also had the fan controller.

I don't think it would be powerful enough to keep it on very long
