I know lol
I'm having a look for it. It does not seem too bad, but if you are wanting it for gaming it needs a reasonable GPU and not just onboard or a basic one as it will hang and drag. |

You need to be careful with the HP models if youre going to use it for gaming. But I can verify that the 17in models have an HD Radeon 56** or so. Cant remember the exact model.
Most of them will have switchable graphics which notes a dedicated graphics card. Im guessing a Geforce 540m or the mobile Radeon 5000+ series. |

Could not find the actual name Argos uses, but had a look at HP site (one of the worst sites I have seen for navigation and searching lol) and all the i5 laptops they had on there use the Intel HD Graphics 4000 (integrated).
Checked some review and testing sites and it does not seem too bad, but depends a lot on the actual CPU, eg.... " For example, notebooks sporting a Core i7-3610QM will have their integrated HD 4000 GPUs operating 150MHz slower than the same GPU found in the i7-3720QM or i7-3820QM. " If it's for general gaming it 'should' be fine, but if you want it to run the latest games at full spec I think it will struggle. |

My cousin has the HP Pavillion g7 as well with the i7 integrated with Intel HD 4000. Its decent, not the best nor the worse. Its just right in the middle. But tbh the price of the laptop is not worth it as it will fail to serve the gaming experience you potentially seek. |

Well a laptop is not just a laptop, its all about portability. If your looking into gaming then yeah thats restricted and I coudnt agree more that desktops what you are better off with if its for gaming.
So yes, you are right! |
