@hellsing9 :

ay, that aint good cuse the dump is invalid,missing per-console info, that's why it's not booting anymore its due the bootloader_0 not complete(check image of ur extracted dump)

the guides are ok, its the dump

in my situation, i did the same, restored invalid dump(more per-console then urs) but i never used the e3_downgrade after that, i fixed it by re-attach the clip, this time 100% positive it's correct, really use those pads they use to put under chairs u know, they work perfect, 1 for SLIM, 3 for PHAT = more space
if u putting it back together that is cuse if not taped,pushing well on the NOR, u see the outcome

only thing i can recommend is re-attach clip, solder the wire(no other way) or if u can't solder u can use the unbrick guide without soldering, it works!! but it's ur own decision afterall, if taped down real good on the points(tristate>GND) it stays on, then use FLASHFUN and BACKUP again, if bootloader_0 is intact, maibe switch it over to original dump, repack it and restore, restore tho didn't work on my end with the bricked CECHL04, after i dumped again, restore ended up in the same error = RLOD, doing the e3_downgrade.bin+bkpps3.bin and using "down,down,down,down,down,UP

this worked, as it seems the backup didn't copied the important per-console info, it did the same while restoring leaving everything intact afterall

as u already used e3_downgrade.bin the situation is different but worth a try

@sopaj96 :

as i said, i never used any of them, the tutorial i linked here, all the steps are not using any SOLDER(yes for unbrick only!) if u check the guide and notice the E3flasher switch screenshots, Flash-fun isn't used thus no solder

again, i can't really help u there, i recommend u first fix fan, doing dual boot like this aint good for NOR anyway, it's a pain cuse one need to reflash the dumps every time u wanna switch firmwares..

That guide is a form of half dual boot. Since you have to flash your backup everytime you want to switch cfw to ofw or ofw to cfw.
Click here to see full text
5.1. copy second 4.00 "Nor backup" file to your MicroSD-Card
5.2. unplug the power cable from the Playstation 3
5.3. put the MicroSD-Card into the E3-Flasher
5.4. set the 6 switch of the E3 Flasher:

5.5. starts the Playstation 3 and let it boots to the XMB
5.6. push the "Start"-Button on the E3-Flasher

*the flash process begins and the 8 LEDs will one by one lights on
*the flash success, when all 8 LEDs blinks.

5.7. unplug the power cable from the Playstation 3
5.8. Swap Your 3.55 HDD to 4.00 HDD
5.9. plug in the power cable and turn on the Playstation 3
5.10. If you flashed your PS3 correctly, your PS3 will start and show this message: “Push PS button”.
5.11. Press the PS button,PS3 will reboot itself.If everything goes ok You should see OFF 4.00

Real fast dual boot you only have to switch hdds and flip the e3 switch from cfw to ofw and reboot.

But anyway lets not hijack this thread and stay on topic.

yes, please stop hijacking threads like this, it has nothing to do with the problem,
pls do some searching on the site, u think those guys make guides for nothing, anyway the guide linked by bartez82 is showing no solder

only

You can brick Your console.Of Course You can unbrick Your PS3 but You need solder the SBE point of the E3 Flasher with the TRISTATE point on the Playstation 3 mainboard and reflash bios in Flash Fun mode.
now back on topic....

@hellsing9
the solderless unbrick guide >>
http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=36618

it's not the ideal way..it works tho!
be carefull, small tinned ends on the wire would be best, use transparant sticky tape or pattex lol...

then screw the faceplate carefull, not to tide, if u screw one on the right, it will lift a bit on the left, handle it like a woman and it works fine

with power off, set switch1 and 3 UP = flash fun/backup, rest DOWN
power on ps3, if doing properly it will hang with "green led"

again don't hit it or something, make dump and post

btw.. u made only 1 dump or have more?
