Hello i have successfully got TB CFW V2 working on first HDD with true blue dongle light going green. The problem occurs when i turn off ps3 power flick e3 flasher switch to OFW and proceed to update my second HDD to OFW 4.00. The HDD updates fine and all is ok until i try to switch back to CFW HDD by turning off power and flicking switch to CFW and swapping HDD. The PS3 comes on for like 5 seconds black screen and turns off again. I have read that im suppost to reflash Downgrade.bin file with switch set on OFW, which iv done and then the CFW HDD will start ok and boot, but when this is done the true blue dongle no longer works the light just stayes red. Any ideas??

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to get fast dual boot with e3 flasher between TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-v2 and 4.00 OFW

To answer your question, I believe that it is possible. I would suggest reading through the fast dual boot guide.

I have already followed that guide and it will get the TB CFW and OFW 4.00 working on fast dual boot but when you do step and flash the downgrade.bin file the true blue dongle no longer works the light just stayes red from then on and if you try to run true blue update 2.62 the ps3 just crashes with black screen.

I'm sorry, but I have not done dual boot. But are you sure you are following the steps correctly? @kman82 says in the guide he uses the latest true blue cfw.

Maybe search that thread for someone with the same problem. And ask your question in that guide, so someone with experience with fast dual boot and true blue can help you.

After much research and experimentation i have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to fast dual boot TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-v2 and OFW 4.00, it is possible to fast dual boot V3.1 Rogero CFW and various others including TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-v1 which is useless as the true blue dongle update 2.62 requires TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-v2.

Even if you dehash and install tb v2, it won't work?
What is so different between tb v2 and other cfw?

Its a problem with step 9 in KMAN82 tutorial, that DOWNGRADE.BIN file that you install by setteing E3 Flasher into "one key downgrade MODE(UNLOCK)" i presume is for TB CFW V1 not V2 i say this as the "E3 TB CFW" on the E3 Flasher site 'www.e3-tech.net/download.html' is based on TB CFW V1.

So dual boot won't work with anything but cfw with no syscon checks?

If that is the case, I think you can use PS3MFW Builder. To remove the checks.

I haven't used dual boot so I'm not sure. Maybe start a thread so some experienced dual boot users will see it. I would imagine someone is trying to do the same thing you are. Or already have.
