Trolling your childhood
I was bored and we know how the PS3 community's a little slow right now so eff it, in order to entertain some of you I'm gonna hit you right where it hurts, your childhood.
Let's begin. 1. Out of the box (Disney show for preschoolers) You know the African dude and the Asian chick on "Out of the box" had lots of fun in that box.... And I mean looooots. What silly activity did they have the kids partake in? Well, I hardly doubt the kids were present when the two were having fun if you know what I mean. This is merely speculation, but come on, think about it. If you still don't believe in the idea, just imagine how funny it woulda been. 2. Power Rangers (Long standing children's show based off of a Japanese concept called Super Sentai) Tommy and Jason were real best friends, but the actors behind the characters can't stand each other. Who knew? 3. Playstation revisions (PSX era) Sony's been trolling you far before the PS3. There have been several revisions of the original PSX, and while this is obvious and hey, there have been multiple revisions of the PS2 as well, it's different with the PSX, at the beginning of the PSX life cycle, the model was suffixes 1001. This one tended to have problems with the laser so I can't blame Sony for making a successive revision. However noticeably it had ports A/V ports so you can connect your own double ended connectors to the TV instead of the bundled proprietary one, but that didn't matter to most people, what did was the parallel port which enabled the use of cartridge based cheat devices, a nifty external flash memory type thing and even a mod chip device which was of course SOLDERLESS. By the time the PSX was living a nice healthy life Sony made you buy a 9001 unit if you didn't have a PSX which didn't have the port, forcing you to use solder based solutions. But it DID have a music visualized option -.- Don't even get me started with the PSOne. 4. Pokemon games (pre-DS era) Battery? Wtf do you mean battery? I just changed the battery on my GBA, so that has nothing to do with why my Pokemon game suddenly deleted my save file and won't save. You must be stupid, the game saves to the cartridge.... Oh you mean one of those funny looking small round silver batteries is responsible for keeping that data alive? WHAT A GIP!!!! I had over 200 hours, all 8 badges, Mewtwo, Mew and all my Pokemon level 100, and I didn't cheat to do it. Sigh, at least it won't happen to my Super Mario 64, right? RIGHT? ![]() 5. Computer game incompatibilities Now it's all about Skyrim and steam games and whatnot. But what about the old school games like Age of Empires or the earlier games you used to play on Windows 98. Sometimes you could download a fix, official or not. Sometimes you can tweak the compatibility to Windows XP or 98. And hey, or those of you who couldn't get South Park Rally to work on Windows XP, Windows 7 has you covered. Still, as technology gets better it often times finds a way to crush your nostalgic appetites. F**k you GeForce and multicore bulls**t, I'm digging my old IBM out of the Attic. That's all I have for now, of this topic becomes a hit (which I doubt because seriously who likes getting their childhood trolled) then I'll make TYC2. I'll even take suggestions

You forgot to talk about the lack of 16 bit dithering support in the newer GPUs, that affect most computer games released before 2000 (ie. Unreal, Thief 2, Starlancer, Star Wars Racer). No compatibility option or emulation can solve this

Remember any "awesome" movie from when you were a kid, watch it again and see if you can make it through the whole movie. When you are no longer the target audience, just how trivial and meaningless it is starts to become clear
