This has gotten worst and worst in the last 20 years, but especially in the last 10. Industry in it's entirety would need to change which I don't see happening, it's too far gone.

Soon you won't even have a warranty for what you buy and no need for customer care at that point, believe you me it's coming.

They are pretty good numbers if you add the position of the economy and all the bad press that sony took.

Its impossible for any company to have constant raise. For that to happen, people need to have infinite money to spend.

I think the easiest thing that Sony could do is make PSN access a subscription and leave homebrew alone. the ability to have homebrew on the ps3 alone would have helped ps3 sales. (IMO) The playstation division has lost money in trying to protect PSN access in which i feel they did a terrible job at. Some would say that Sony did the right thing by securing the ps3 from piracy (lol) and by investing in better security measures for the PSN but at what price?

could anyone imagine if sony would have left well enough alone? Don't get me wrong, i'm not condoning piracy in any respect, but i would like to think that if people can customize their ps3's with homebrew and having the ability to back up their games to HDD would help sony. IMO, ps3 sales would have been over the top.

well they released it knowing they would make a loss.. the blu ray was the reason

then they removed ps2 support,
then they took away linux support,
the removed 2 usb ports,
then made a new slimmer but uglier mega drive looking console & still never upgraded the wifi speeds necessary for hd streaming.
oh and no interface changes to help improve experience, such as online gaming cross game chat.
pointless updates nothing but security fixes to stop the jailbreak only way the console was decent.

all sony cared about was selling bluray & making sure we all got f'd in a.

oh n umd was a fail from the beginning... now sony making sure they profit from mem sticks now
