Well. I never plugged it into my ps3 (because I feel uncomfortable acting against my ethics) and last week another friend of mine was going to order one , and I gave to him the TB I had collecting dust - at least I prevent someone from giving more money to them.

In my opinion, ethics is something that comes with age , and for younger people, opportunism is the only rule. For most people, ethics does not matter: if something alows to play newer games, is good enough to them.

They just want to play (and will play in one way or another). So I do not personally have nothing against those who buy, but I have no sympathy for those who promote this crap. Some TB users act like religious fanatics trying to get followers, and this is really annoying.

IMHO, is better simply ignore instead of starting a war, attack, help or care about those who purchase this dongle.
As for TB users acting "like religious fanatics", they will unfortunately (or fortunately, whichever way you want to look at it) say the same thing with pro-open source movement people.

Also, you are right about the common end users who just want to play the latest games - they have this "Fifth Freedom" mentality when it comes to such topics like this one - they don't give a damn about "scene ethics" nor they give a damn with the "loser posturing" and homebrew - like Scarlet Wolf said, it's a "sodding game console" and it will stay a "sodding game console" so therefore, it will not turn into a "half-arsed and performance bottlenecked Linux PC" or a "crappy, politically correct-friendly homebrew machine" (the scene drama has only made things worse in that regard).

Sorry, but some people, especially those who feel that they have a more "realist" approach towards the gaming scene as a whole will NOT see homebrew and multiple OS solutions as "top-priority" features, but rather, as secondary features to mainstream gaming as a whole, and with that said, this is EXACTLY why more and more people are deviating from this scene to the Xbox 360 scene.

Additionally, if you (JoshIsPoser) are willing to help out then go ahead and help them out, but if not, then follow LoboGuara's advice and just ignore them and move on, for the sake of your sanity and for the sake of preventing drama.

You are right. This is based on personal values and choices.

Fanatics are boring, regardless of what they believe

i think you kinda confused morals and ethics. i might be too, but to my knowlegde, ethics are decided kinda by society and morals are like personal. they do go hand and hand. i think i need to watch "Election" again soon :P
I think i'll stick to helping some just because some of the users just repeat the same thing "you gotta replace files...you gotta update...etc." but don't provide much help beyond that. i'd rather have them see how i see tb users, very selfish and don't care to listen to anyone.
i did just like stare at @Adamsville avatar for like a minute (60 seconds) and it turned into a curled up turd. all i see is poo on that guy's head :P

I think more people know the person who played that character by other characters in movies like The Bourne Identity, GI Joe and Killer Elite (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adewale_Akinnuoye-Agbaje).
