Eh turns out that the same day reballing service is no longer available and that I will need to leave it there for a week, SOmething that I decided not to do. I will be bootlegging the reball and will report back when I'm done.

It will eventually need a reball anyways, might as well just work on the one I have now.

I would say find someone with the right tools. I have reballed many ps3s and I will say with the right tools they can be a pain. I have never really tried one without my rework station so I can't really say anything about that, but for sure take it to someone that knows what they are doing.

No fun in that, and I like to learn, I have done plenty of research and am ready, just need to get the freaking solder balls. This is going to be a learning experience and I will be practicing on many things before I touch my pride and joy the PS3 (not really all that but I do like it).

Good luck bud, I have been thinking of doing this myself but have not had the cash to get the bits needed and not found a guide on doing it.

Can I be cheeky and ask you to document your steps and make a guide please.

All the best on the reball dude!

I have failed utterly lol, Good Bye CECHA01... . I went to reball the CellBE first and while heating it something bad happened. While I was successful at taking the CellBE off, I was unsuccessful at preventing the things in which I don't know to happen. The tiny chips on the bottom side of the CellBE fell off (all of them). I am wondering if @euss or anyone else for that matter have any ideas on fixing this.

PS: Did all this while Hungry, Tired, Sleepy, and add to that I was rushing it . FML.
