Quick question i suspect that the ps3update.pup from your 3steps.rar is the rogero v3 , am i correct?

Greetz

really i did not check that, but i remember that when i flashed the first time in step1 with the rflash.bin prepared by me ,log was ok . . then i used one of the latest rogero no check and it bricked!(step2)

i can't tell if that happened because something went wrong either in the second step or as consequence because of step1 was incomplete

what i know is that when i debricked it i changed both files rflash and pup .so i don't know witch one was wrong at the first brick or if they were both invalid

OK i've got another question
from what i read after the dumping I've got theese files:

backuprflash.bin ,backuprflash1.bin ,backuprflash2.bin ,backuprflash3.bin.

And after this in the next steps I'm gonna use only the first one backuprflash.bin (renemed to rflash.bin) of course the rest of the files will be safely held on my PC.

Am i correct??

second silly question

I've tried all my 3 pen drives neither worked to dump the flashes.
So i need to borrow my uncles pendrive (it was the only pendrive that worked with flashing the jfw and service pack 1.2 so i suppose it will work now)

Am i correct doing this to dum?

in the root of pendrive i put the advance.cfg and i make a PS3 folder which have inside the UPDATE folder which have inside it the egea.self (named changed from Lv2diag.self)
it looks like this (H is my pendrive)

H:\PS3\UPGRADE\egea.self
H:\advance.cfg

just quick answer to this second question is it correct , yes or no?

sorry for making this so noobish from myself but really with this JFW I'm 10000% cautious

give your uncle one of your drives and keep the working one for yourself

Wrong , UPGRADE is name of the folder not UPDATE

No need to switch then , he will borrow me this pen drive for any time i want (2 weeks , month no prob at all)

Wrong , UPGRADE is name of the folder not UPDATE
yes ,but remember to read advence.cfg ,understand it and double checking it after editing it

And yes I've did a mistake but only here on board i wrote the wrong name. On pen drive I've wrote the right name for this folder.

Already checked the advance.cfg , twice , but to be 2000000% sure will check it tomorrow with a good pen drive.

OK it's all for today , tomorrow will try to dump it with a proper (i hope) pen drive and if any problems will occur i write to you or here.

Regards and thanks for interest.

Here is the translation of the tutorial.

Of course anyone is making it at own risk , no one is responsible for any damage that could happen to your console.

Step 1

Download this 3 packages.
Code:
http://www.multiupload.nl/I1GEIZ1G77
http://www.multiupload.nl/Y0NDXML97B
http://www.multiupload.nl/7U30PNTANU
Step 2

Open the advance.cfg with a simple notepad (on each windows Menu Start/Programs/Accesory/Notepad)

After you opened it , it must look like this

Code:
########################################################
#JaiCraB 2011. Preloader Advance 3.1 Config File #
#jaicrab
@gmail.com
				       #
########################################################

########################################################
#Backup "rflash" to "/dev_usb000/Backuprflash.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = 16MB Nor models and first 16MB from NAND models.
# 2 = 16MB Nor models and 256MB from NAND models.
;1

########################################################
#Restore "rflash" Fichero origen "/dev_usb000/rflash.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Delete and restore all sectors.
# 2 = Check sectors and only delete/write the differents sectors.(SLOW)
;0

########################################################
#Backup "/dev_flash" to "/dev_usb000/Backupflash1.bin"
#0 = Disabled
#1 = Enabled
;1

########################################################
#Backup "/dev_flash2" to "/dev_usb000/Backupflash2.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;1

########################################################
#Backup "/dev_flash3" to "/dev_usb000/Backupflash3.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;1

########################################################
#Restore "/dev_flash" from "/dev_usb000/flash1.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Restore "/dev_flash2" from "/dev_usb000/flash2.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Restore "/dev_flash3" from "/dev_usb000/flash3.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Dump Lv2(need lv2 peek) to "/dev_usb000/DumpLv2.bin"
#Only if exist SC 6 (PEEK)
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Dump Lv1(need lv1 peek) to "/dev_usb000/DumpLv1.bin"
#Only if exist SC 8 (Lv1_Peek)
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#No Function
;0

########################################################
#Service MODE function
# 0 = Nothing
# 1 = Exit Service mode
# 2 = Entering in Service mode. (need lv1 patch or JFW MA)
;0

########################################################
# 0=Shutdown
# 1=Reset
;0
If it looks like it then proceed to step 3.

Step 3

Put in the root the advance.cfg (that one that you saw in step 2 above)
Also make a folder in the root of pendrive named PS3 and in this folder make a new folder named UPGRADE.

Take the lv2diag.self from one of the archives you've downloaded and change it name to egea.self and put it in the UPGRADE folder.

Your pendrive should look like this
your pendrive name:\PS3\UPGRADE\egea.self
your pendrive name:\advance.cfg.

Now put the pendrive in the right usb slot in your ps3 (it's the nearest to the bluray drive).

Switch on your pendrive. Now your dumping your flashes. You see it by the green led flashing on your console after it is done the console should switch off normally (solid red flash). It took on my nand console about 1/2 minutes.

Step 4

You see now these files on your pendrive after you plug it to PC :
Backuprflash.bin Backupflash1.bin Backupflash2.bin Backupflash3.bin

Copy all 4 files from the pendrive to your pc to a safe location. (I may advice you to create a special folder for it named "my little precious backups" )

If you not see them to do :

On Windows go to folder options/view , uncheck the hiding of secured system files and switch to view the hidden files. (thanks for the trick from @sewershark i now it's simple but nobody told this, only he said it to me).

Step 5

Copy the Backuprflash.bin to the desktop. Change the name to rflash.bin

And open the rflash_patch.exe (be sure you downloaded the new version from links that are on top of the tutorial).

Drag and put the rflash.bin to the window of rlflash_patch.exe.
It will take only few seconds.

Search in your windows for the rflash_new.bin. (this is the best way for it usually it is in C:\Documents and Settings\your name but i'm on windows xp).

You can now delete that rflash.bin (already used) from desktop.

Step 6

The most risky step

Take the rflash_new.bin change it name to rflash.bin
Now take your pendrive. Delete all files exept the PS3 folder (which have inside the the UPGRADE folder and egea.self file still in it).

Put the rflash.bin in the root of pendrive.
Put the flash1.bin in the root of pendrive (it was downloaded at the very begging of this tutorial) but here it's one more time the the same link
Code:
http://www.multiupload.nl/Y0NDXML97B

Open the advance.cfg.
Now you need to change all values to 0 except the 2 and 6 "option"
To make this easier i will show you how it should look

Code:
########################################################
#JaiCraB 2011. Preloader Advance 3.1 Config File #
#jaicrab
@gmail.com
				       #
########################################################

########################################################
#Backup "rflash" to "/dev_usb000/Backuprflash.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = 16MB Nor models and first 16MB from NAND models.
# 2 = 16MB Nor models and 256MB from NAND models.
;0

########################################################
#Restore "rflash" Fichero origen "/dev_usb000/rflash.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Delete and restore all sectors.
# 2 = Check sectors and only delete/write the differents sectors.(SLOW)
;1

########################################################
#Backup "/dev_flash" to "/dev_usb000/Backupflash1.bin"
#0 = Disabled
#1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Backup "/dev_flash2" to "/dev_usb000/Backupflash2.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Backup "/dev_flash3" to "/dev_usb000/Backupflash3.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Restore "/dev_flash" from "/dev_usb000/flash1.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;1

########################################################
#Restore "/dev_flash2" from "/dev_usb000/flash2.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Restore "/dev_flash3" from "/dev_usb000/flash3.bin"
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Dump Lv2(need lv2 peek) to "/dev_usb000/DumpLv2.bin"
#Only if exist SC 6 (PEEK)
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#Dump Lv1(need lv1 peek) to "/dev_usb000/DumpLv1.bin"
#Only if exist SC 8 (Lv1_Peek)
# 0 = Disabled
# 1 = Enabled
;0

########################################################
#No Function
;0

########################################################
#Service MODE function
# 0 = Nothing
# 1 = Exit Service mode
# 2 = Entering in Service mode. (need lv1 patch or JFW MA)
;0

########################################################
# 0=Shutdown
# 1=Reset
;0
Now your root should look like this

your pendrive name :/PS3/UPGRADE/egea.self
your pendrive name :/rflash.bin
your pendrive name :/flash1.bin
your pendrive name :/advance.cfg

If everything is correct now you can put the pendrive in the right usb slot (the closest to the Blu-Ray drive). Switch on the console it will now start flashing green led.
After it is done it should switch to solid red (For me it was maybe not even a 1 minute).

Step 7

Switch on the console
It should look normal (there should be rogero logo at the right bottom corner of tv)
If yes , go check the firmware version.
If it is 3.70 then don't panic , it's normal thing besides it's a normal 3.55 but only spoofeed (yeah you're on 3.55 surprise :D )

Step 8

Now is the easiest way
You can either do the FSM (factory service mode) or qa_flag_extra metod to update to 3.55 Kmaew.

I've done the FSM and went right trough to the 3.55 kmaew.
But it's totally up to you how you will do this.

Well done if you read carefully you're on 3.55 downgraded from 3.56 JFW.

Many thanks for sewershark and all people on Demon Hades board , without their work it wouldn't be possible to do this.

Regards to all

Can someone Upload these links to a different location? Not sure if it my ISP or my country but it just shows a blank white screen?

I don't need these files but there may be other who run into the same issues with multiupload.
