wow really?
first of all,, you're 'studying' software?, what kind of software are we talking about..? and,, which PS3 model do you have?, as far as I know you'll need to find an entire new exploit if you got an undowngradable model.. (which is blocking me at this very moment). and you're asking if somebody could actually teach you how the ps3 is doing his job? I think the wiki shows enough information about alot of calls inside the ps3.. and should be enough to help you do what you want to do,, if you know what you're doing ofcourse.. |

If your studying software and say your willing to learn then a good place to start would have been to look at the banner at the top of the page that says highest hackable firmware 3.55 and then use the search tool to search for how to downgrade. I am concerned for your ability to downgrade even after reading how as it has taken you two weeks to learn how to search. Maybe downgrading isn't for you. This is a brick waiting to happen. No offense

True granted software is what I am studying but I specialize in the more internal kind as well as exploits. Building and breaking down to better understand my belongings and my current situation the forums are very informal but I was just looking for some friendly advice. The jailbreaking side of the PS3 interests me just wanna know what can I do now with firmware 4.11, have somebody help me exploit or wait until someone does it. That is my question and I am still seeking a answer.

.PS: there is a way of downgrade through a hardware flasher but that is only if your PS3s lowest firmware is 3.55 or lower. Also the 3000 models are not at this moment able to downgrade.

starts with CECH, at the bottom of the console (not sure about the phat one) or check your serial code.. last part of it contains CECHXXXXX which is your model number. Last edited by Goldeneye; 05-19-2012 at 05:17 PM. |

Yeah you can downgrade but you'll need to buy a hardware flasher like progskeet or the e3 flasher. good luck
