Well Metal Gear Rising: Revengance is on the way for Q4 2012. This will be a hack and slash, not a tactical espionage game.

"Next" Metal Gear Solid is supposedly in the works, but not much is known about it other than Kojima being involved and it perhaps taking place in Africa sometime after Peace Walker.

Note: MGS5 was renamed to Peace Walker, so it's not certain whether the next one will be 5 or 6.

True true forgot about peace walker havent played it yet even though I bought the mg hd collection

It's a great game. Played it on the PSP. Not sure how it translates to the PS3 HD-ness, but it's an amazing game on the PSP.
