I am very anti-TB, i think the device is a disease and will never die as long as people buy it.
However the decision is yours, you need to ask yourself why you would update and lose the ability to play homebrew. Will you buy many game that require 3.56+ FW ? Will you use PSN ? Are you interested in buying from the PS Store ? If yes is your answer to all three, then indeed update, if you don't care for PSN or the PS Store, then stick with 3.55 FW

I want to play upcoming games but no, i'm not used to play online on psn or buy on ps store. I play only single player and so tb would be useful but i've heard of the tb upgrade problem when they had to release a new firmware because newer games didn't run..

really? You hide that very well
![]() @dxffkh I don't play much ps3 anymore but if I was in your predicament and had no interest in online then maybe I would take a punt on TB, still I'm a believer that good things come to those who wait. |

I've been waiting over a year, but still had no urge to update, ultimately the decision is yours and either way your get a reward.

If you want to play even half a dozen games you cannot play now then it is a good investment. @devilangelari If showtime is all you really use it for then why not sell it and get a cheap laptop which will play all video files and still let you do other things as well? Just curious as it seems a waste of space and money to me to keep it just for that. I have a networked laptop hooked up to my TV and I watch videos and even play the odd game or 2 on it. I own a TB and use it without any problems.
Updates go fine if you read instructions and follow steps properly. Everything other then that is just opinion. |
