yes i expected that . . . its just that i don't like it all that much the reason i did not test it till this moment , but i am downlo . . .wanted to write . . buying it to test it within tomorrow , i will also try battlefront 2 . .

i tried gauntlet ,flatout 2 and nhl 2k10 for now . . . in the 3 games i was the only one online . . . i felt so alone just as will smith in the movie i am legend but without the vampires . . . the only thing that could be made during this online experience was hearing my ps3 fan spinning

I understand you said you didn't like it that much, but unfortunately it is probably one of the only game series' which still have their servers online, and may have a few people playing them. Another that MAY work, is Champions of Norrath.

Gauntlet has been dead for over a year now, and pretty sure most (if not all) sports/racing games are dead.

Yeah there is a tony hawk community for the american wasteland and underground 2 only problem is they shut the servers down but people have made a special server for them so you would need the special DNS to play on them a guy named biohacker kick started thug2 gameshark codes and mods for the ps2 he hacked and got into the neversoft online servers which caused them to shut the server down so biohacker made his own server for everyone nice read if your bored and wanna play it online source > http://forums.gamespy.com/online_pla...5/19592333/p1/

if you do play tony hawk online, you better be good. they all glitch and that sucks. i'm a really good, scratch that, i'm an amazing tony hawk player but i don't like cheat the game to 20 million plus points and i don't see how it could be fun just seeing who can glitch the longest/most. i got second place once cause someone kept glitching for minutes after and eventually messed up and failed. it was 120 million points in first, then like 3 million points in second.

It worked with my old 60 gig that had the swap switch mod, but I used a burnt backup. Just make sure you patch the DNAS stuff on the backup and you can go online no problem Im sure. SOCOM is still up and is populated as GEEK said. It is filled with cheaters though. Code Majic destroyed that game.

yes i don't like classic war games in general with solders etc . . ,but i will force my self playing it at least one time or more . . . maybe then i will change my mind

also thanks for Champions of Norrath,i have seen some images on google ,it doesn't look bad will start arranging it on my ps3 within today

this is really useful info,so there are also private servers as well for those games . . .then i expect that those games have within there online configurations the feature of adding alternative ip server addresses than the default servers that came with the game . . . or must that be made editing the files inside their isos ?


you don't know any private servers regarding outbreak 1 or 2 ,do you ?
another thing to do would be to read a tutorial on how to setup a ps2 game server ,because if only from 3 to 6 gamers will be connected at the time i think even my old ibm p3 733mhz 768mb ram in the attic could do the job

i did not set it up with the switch because i didn't want to open the console,i have the cobra key and respective firmware . . . regarding dnas i had no problem ,but once there was a game that i couldn't find its last disk id on the web listed ,so i copied them from a similar game of the same company and year,randomly added the first ,went online to test ,when i passed the check i was like this then turned like this when no one was there


anyway looks like useful info is being posted

today i will try battlefront 2 and socom Combined Assault will post opinion later . .

tested starwars battlefront 2 works great have 4 users connected ,5 counting me

tested socom Combined Assault connected,registered,dnas passed ,then just before trying to play the game a message popped up saying you were detected cheating once ,your account will be banned . . .etc . . soon after i was disconnected

was i detected because of the disc id ? this game alone had 140 users online ,so its worth trying to play with it

now i was considering to buy the original disk ,problem is my ps3 bc is japanese and i need a ntsc u.s disk for it that wont boot with it in the straight forward way

of course i could try reading original disk id and patch its iso with it,problem is that ps2 homebrew utility that tells you about your original disk id will not run correctly on my ps3 . . . actually it run,says "insert the disk to the ps2 and then press X",when i do,it wont display any info regarding the id of the ps2 discs that i have ,so even buying a used socom disk of 5$ on ebay wont help me in this matter


any suggestion to fix this either will be appreciated

Im not sure If there are outbreak servers usually only games that servers were taken down but still had a nice chunk of ppl playing then im sure a hacker may have made there own server I just read a better server was created for thug games his name is snipe thps.us it combines biohackers server with snipes so more ppl there I assume
