Well first of all I have a ChechL01 fat ps3.

one day I turned it on put a game in but nothing came up nothing loaded so I bought a new lens im sure i put it in right haha wasnt too hard.

But then another problem came about there was an update around the time i replaced it so i went ahead with it and now its just stuck in a loop. it goes up to 60-70% then it stops and shows some error

googled it for the most part from what i know its because the ribbon to the motherboard from the bluray wasnt in all the way

I did the cardboard credit card trick to keep it in place since the little black clips broke off but when i try to turn on the ps3 nothing happens no red stand by lights or anything

so i took out the ribbon to the bluray to MB and voila it turns on but now its just stuck in the update.

So it must be the ribbon right? two of the little "teeth" on the edges of one end of it seem to be broken half way.

would the ribbon by itself cause the ps3 to not power up no lights or anything?

Where the heck can i get an extra blu ray drive ribbon its a skinny one not those fat ones you see all over ebay.

I have no personal experience with this issue but have read of others saying that you maybe able to fix this, just wanted to reply to maybe give you a bit of relief, but as stated I have no personal experience with this. Can anyone experienced help him? If you don't get another reply keeping searching on other sites. Sorry I couldn't be more help mate.
