Hi, (sorry, my english is not so good)

I have the E3 Flasher 3K Limited and trying to flash my CECH-2001B with firmware 4.11. (samsung chip) with the NOR Clip installed.

I first try to backup my firmware and the only time it seem to work is when i use the 2011-10-25 update.bin for the E3 Flasher to support Samsung NOR FLASH.

The 8 blue led flashing one by one and the backup seem to be ok..but the backup firmware file size on the SDCARD have only 8MB and supposed to have 16MB.. if i test it it tell me the firmware is wrong.

If i use the update.bin file of 2011.11.22 or the update.bin file of 2012-01-05 to update my E3 Flasher and try to make the firmware backup after..nothing seem to work..some blue led flashing at the same time and nothing on the SDCARD.

so, only the 2011-10-25 update.bin file on the E3 Flasher seem to give me a backup firmware on the SDCARD but in the wrong size..anything to suggest ? thank you very much for your help.

I'm searching right now about the patch info..but my NOR Flash Backup-File is only 8MB, i see the backup must fit exactly the filesize of 16,777,216 Bytes ..the patcher will help me about that ? by the patcher, do you mean the ps3 NOR patcher ? it's weird, the backup process seem to be good..the blue light flashing one by one..but only 8MB on the SDCARD..do you know why ? please help me

Like @stdule said @seeker.qc check the clip (always is the damn clip that sometimes moves and get you bad dumps).
If you need more help use irc and connect to EFnet to the channel #PS3downgrade
There are good people willing to help anyone in problems.

Clean the clip and NOR chip with alcohol
Tape the clip on the NOR
Put a coin over the clip
Put a piece of foam over the coin
Reassemble and the MB shield will press the foam and coin over the clip

thank you for the help..and now i have this error message when trying to backup the firmware: start logging...backup PS3 BIOS. not original PS3

what it mean ? thank you again

"Not original ps3" error means the flasher has been used before on a different ps3. To use it on multiple ps3s, you must use the samsung 10.28 update.bin.

To get a good backup, make sure the clip is secure.

Yes it's true, E3 flasher has been used before on a different PS3. I have problem like that( "Not original PS3").
