i was trying to get my point across is that most of non tb user are playing the latest games on there 2nd ps3 with online too. u shouldnt asum that non tb user can only play old games .

put it this way it people like me dont buy new games then there be no market for games and in the long run console will die out and well u have nothink to pirate then.

Aye, I wish I had an xbox so I could have bought Assassin Creed Revelations on that, instead I had to buy the PS3 one and as we know, a bit goes to $ony.

So far I that and UDraw (cos I wanted the tablet) are the only post 3.55 games I have bought, as I want to give a little to $ony as possible. Come the next gen of consoles I wont be getting a PS.

Just got mine in the mail and tested it to confirm its real so the website I got it from is legit like you people claimed. But this new packaging must be something really brand new because my didn't come packaged like that. Mine actually came packaged weird like in a druggy bag.

I´ll admit the games can be overpriced but you can´t blame them for trying to protect their games that cost millions and years to produce.
TB puts DRM on their work but the games are not theirs.

Keep? You pay them one fee of 60 bucks and you get firmware updates. If True Blue are so evil, than why hasn't anyone else came up with a device to play newer games?

Do I really need to explain why True Blue is evil? Well ok yet another history lesson for the ignorant TB defenders.

True Blue uses PSL1GHT, the stolen Sony SDK, and all of the other knowledge that was made available for free to create their own type of DRM (what us smart people call reDRM.) They have cracked Sony's DRM, and have replaced it with there own to make a profit. How is this wrong you may ask. Well PSL1GHT didnt charge anyone. The Sony SDK is illegal to have unless you have it licensed by Sony. The PS3 community devs worked hard to bring us awesome features just so some piece of **** company can take their work and wipe their asses with it.

Now I understand that the first argument everyone pro TB uses is PSjailbreak. The difference between the original jailbreak and TB is that the original jailbreak was the first breakthrough hack for this community. It exploited a flaw in the PS3 USB enumeration. There was no stolen community work, it could be considered a mod chip, and it was cracked and made available to all within a month. Thanks to that dongle we saw the birth of MFW, PS3 homebrew, a community made open source SDK, and of course the beloved backup manager.

True Blue on the other hand has decided it was above this community, and even Sony itself by deciding to rape the poor end user that wished to stay on MFW. They use PSL1GHT and the official SDK for their eboots (PSL1GHT is free and Sony SDK is stolen.) They used the crypto fail discovered by fail0verflow to basically make its dongle work as a newly encrypted appldr. Point being every tool they have ever used is free or pirated.

So they make new games playable on older firmwares.... cool right? No it isnt cool. Now you are not only stealing from the software devs that bring us great games, but you are forced to pay to steal. Now some of you may say "Oh herp derp I buy all my games." LIES!!!!! True Blue was created for piracy. Sure it may be handy if you go to your local game store and actually buy a game that needs True Blue, but the fact of the matter is all True Blue users are pirates. I am not hear to debate piracy, but I am here to debate how a group can use all free tools to turn around and charge you for crap. Hell even Cobra dongle adds features. True Blue is a piracy tool that was created by pirates (stolen SDK).

Oh and since they are so great why do they have a HDD erase fail safe, and a dongle self brick fail safe? Why are there some games that you are forced to buy from them on their so called "special" BD-Rs?

Piracy is one thing, but charging for piracy is another.

Because it's not just all about playing games! Both either legally backed up in countries that allow it, or pirated in countries that dont.

TB are all about piracy, but there are devs out there that would like to know how it's done so that they may be able to bring us better homebrew.
The scene is about sharing information so that each dev can create newer and better homebrew applications.
TB have taken the info from all these other devs, found out an extra bit of info and instead of sharing that like everyone else has, they are keeping it secret and started selling their dongle to pirate games.
The PS3 can do so much more than just play games, there are devs out there that could make it do a lot more if they has more access to the PS3 and any exploit for it.


Here's a silly analogy for ya:

Say one person makes a pair of bike wheels (Dev 1) and shares the idea with everyone for free.

Another person (Dev 2) sees the wheels and has an idea, that person makes a bike frame and shares the idea for free.

Everyone can make the frame and wheels as the ideas were shared for free; only problem is that the wheels keep falling off. People know they can make an awesome bike but they are missing something.

A third person (TB) find a solution, they make some nuts which hold the wheels and the frame together. But instead of sharing it with everyone for free, they start building and selling off bikes instead, having stolen the ideas from Dev 1&2 and not paying them a penny.



This has now completely ruined the scene, why should any dev share their info now if people like TB steal it and then profit from it?! By supporting TB you are no longer supporting the devs who start off the hacking process and so future hacks can never be made!

Sure you got your "bike", but now the guy who has the idea for a "motorbike" wont share that idea and now noone will ever have one! And yes they may add more gears (updates) to the "bike" in the future but no matter how many gears they add it still wont be a "motorbike"
