You CAN play backups online, and contrary to popular belief you CAN burn them with ANY burner.

These are ALL tricks to get you to waste more money.

JTAG consoles should NEVER go online.

Dual-nand/Triple-nand consoles can go online since you're able to choose between two/three different consoles in one. You can have OFW & RGH and Homebrew or w/e else you want in one console, able to toggle like Fahad said through a little external switch.

Never been banned. The worst thing was had a backup flashed because my stupid brother forgot to patch it, and he tends to go online with games not yet released.

While I mostly agree with you the statement about using any burner is false. Yes you can use any burner, but XGD3 discs require you to truncate the data (unless you have a burnermax drive) While you may think that truncate is ok, it isnt. Try playing Forza 4 or Gears of War 3 with a truncated burn and enjoy the unauthorized disk error followed by booting back to the dash.....and it happens randomly

Now with burnermax everyone will tell you that you can only use verbatim discs, and that is also incorrect. I have been using crappy memorex discs for a while (the ritek ones) and I can burn and verify 100% any XGD3 backup.

Backups work fine on Live if you patch your ISOs with ABGX and use Lt 3.0. So @tjhooker73 you have given false information. Lt 3.0 killed the AP 2.5 war, and if your discs are patched correctly, as well as using safe practices (I.E. waiting until actual release date) then backups are fine on Live.

Besides, does anyone else feel as though MS pulled a Nintendo and stopped caring? No news about a Spring dash, cant stop LT (so far) and attempts to stop the RGH failed. As long as they keep the RGH/Jtag community off of Live then I couldn't care less if they gave up or not.

...maybe with some drives but I burn on my 64 and 32 bits and both work fine, though both use different burning methods, I've never gotten that error. My brother says he has gotten it, but while burning on an old 64bit.

That is because it is all random. Forza 4 was the reason burnermax came out.

DemoN is not worth $70 IMO, when you can get a Trident Tri Nand for for $40. The DemoN does have a built in programmer, but you are probably going to want to get a programer such as nand x or JR programmer. You also have the Squirt alternative to the dual nand solution as well. There are much cheaper, and better, alternatives to getting a dual nand RGH setup.
