It would b3e nice to reverse the TB tech and get it out thee for all. I've been really curious about the proce the cat used to crack the Arkham City game and get the game to run without the discs. I wish I knew more on how this was accomplished cause I want to play some of the other games that require the discs.

anyway went to read kickstarter guidelines and kickstarter won't work for us...

first kickstarter is suposed to be about getting fund for your project, not getting funds for someone else's project...

it also need a timeline and a limit, you can't just make a fund there, and it will stay there forever expecting for it to be completed... you need to put a limit in the money like 5.000$ and the timeline to raise that money for 4 months...

a kickstarter won't work.

We need to make a bounty and that's it... an account, where people donate money, and the first person to get us a working solution will get ALL the money

Something about this troubles me... if this happens and it gets a few grand built up, I'm pretty sure one of the weasels involved with TB would stab the other "hard working and talented devs" in the back and try to claim the cash. Isn't that kind of rewarding them further for what they did? However, the mental anguish it will cause them is worth it. All sitting at the computer, refreshing the total bounty amount... wondering if someone else is gonna leak it first...

I don't have an issue with this. To me, it's not really much different than having a bounty for cracking lvl0 in that all you're doing is encouraging development through monetary gain. The principal isn't much different, except we're trying to keep that development open rather than letting them gain via closed dongles. At the very least, if nothing happens for a long time to the point where dongle sales start to dry up, they might come forward and release everything to claim the bounty and call it a day.

tbh, why bother cracking the dongle at all?

As someone said earlier in the thread, concentrate on the eboots.

By releasing a working method for OFFICIAL eboots, you negate the need for TB. They get what they deserve and can't do f**k all about it.

Whoever does that deserves whatever is in the pot.
